SOLMETRA Maps 1.0b2 brings a PHP class which makes it easy to show Google Maps on your site. It applies the extremely powerful and flexible Google Maps API to generate interactive maps.
The second but most valuable feature of SOLMETRA Maps is geo-code integration. Geocode is method of linking a place name (i.e. address, city name, country) to a physical location on a map (latitude and longitude).
Due to some licensing limitations with their map info providers, Google does not provide means to utilize geocode in their Maps API. That's where SOLMETRA Maps comes in. It allows you to basically type in something like "Stockholm, SWEDEN" and class automatically positions and zooms in Google Map on a beautiful Scandinavian city.
