The second but most valuable feature of SOLMETRA Maps is geo-code integration. Geocode is method of linking a place name (i.e. address, city name, country) to a physical location on a map (latitude and longitude).
Due to some licensing limitations with their map info providers, Google does not provide means to utilize geocode in their Maps API. That's where SOLMETRA Maps comes in. It allows you to basically type in something like "Stockholm, SWEDEN" and class automatically positions and zooms in Google Map on a beautiful Scandinavian city.

You can choose between method 1 or 2.
- Method 1 uses plane approximation, only for points within several tens of kilometers;
- Method 2 calculates sphere geodesic distance for points farther apart, but ignores flattening of the earth.
Output is always in km.
