Major Features:

1. Load Database: GnuAE contains a database of many common electrical loads from coffee grinders, to power tools, to high-end computers. It is possible to have separate files for different systems.
2. Component Database: GnuAE contains a database of many components and their specifications, which enables GnuAE to make accurate calculations on system size and cost. It also allows one to do "what if" design by easily changing components.

7. Fully generalizes MetaPost path construction algorithms to three dimensions;
8. Compiles commands into virtual machine code for speed without sacrificing portability;
9. High-level graphics commands are implemented in the Asymptote language itself, allowing them to be easily tailored to specific applications.
